Specialty Pistol Courses

Course Brief:  This 4-hour pistol course is specifically designed for those new or potential new owners of a pistol red dot. The course is designed with a heavy focus on understanding the optical system itself, product differences, options, uses and practices. 

Course Level: Intermediate

Cost: $175 Includes Range Fees and Targets 

Length: 4 Hours 

Skills that will be Worked On and Topics Discussed in this Class: 

- Safe handling

- Equipment Selection: Dot size, color, and other options

- Installation options

- Correct nomenclature 

- Pros and cons using a red dot system

- Maintenance

- Fundamentals of RMR pistol shooting including, grip and presentation fundamentals, sighting in (zeroing), finding the dot, and self-diagnostics. 

Skills and Requirements Needed Coming Into this Class: 

- Must be comfortable shooting on your own in a traditional static range environment.  

- Must have shot at least 500 rounds within last 12 months through the gun you will be using (or a comparable model) prior to this class.  

- Must understand how your gun functions and be able to load, unload, show clear. Students who need help with loading or unloading their firearm (or magazine) or struggle with understanding and handling basic malfunctions are not prepared for this class.  

- Must be familiar and competent with your chosen handgun and using consistent fundamentals at a level of unconscious competency.  

- For semi-automatic handguns, must be able to pull the slide back and lock it open (back) and clear a malfunction (jam).  

- Must demonstrate a firm understanding of and respect for basic firearm safety rules and range etiquette.   If you would like help with any of the above, we recommend booking a Private Training Session with one of our instructors prior to attending this class.

Course Brief:  Point Shooting, Threat Focused, Instinctive Shooting or Combat Focused...Call it what you may. These are the skills used to accurately put hits on moving and static targets from close to medium combative ranges with a pistol. This specific class focuses on realistic range gun-fighting, using quick accurate hits with both two and one-handed shooting techniques. This class will prepare you for up close engagements, focusing on combative accuracy and the reality of defensive gun fights.

Course Brief:  This course will be held in complete darkness. Students will be taught the correct use of flashlight and mounted lights to identify and engage threats. Topics covered include: equipment selection, drawing and correct manipulation of various flashlights, moving and shooting in the dark, sighted and instinctive shooting in the dark,shooting from cover, and reloading techniques including speed loads and tactical reloads in the dark. This is NOT a basic class. All student should be safe and well-versed in the use of their pistols before attending.

Course Brief:  One of our most talked about classes from past students including many Law Enforcement Officers! So you've taken lots of training. You're ready for your "real" gun fight, right? Well, here is a Class where you can use Airsoft Pistols to truly put those theories, skills and training to the test. Students will run through multiple Real-Life Force-on-Force Scenarios to practice and challenge their Real-Time Deadly Force Decision Making and Practical Firearms Skills. Instructors and other students will play innocent bystanders, law enforcement, and threats.  

Students will be given a very brief description of the situation they are entering, then must Enter, Make Quick Decisions as to who is whom and How Best to Act, and then React. Throughout the day, students will actually See the Outcome of their "Plan" to Realistic Car Jacking, Kidnapping, Mugging, Armed Robbery, Home Invasion Scenarios and more. Our Instructors will follow up each exercise with a debrief discussing possible actions, solutions and outcomes. It is a real eye opener and thought provoking.  

This is a great Confidence-Building class for Concealed Carry License Holders of All Ages, Genders, and Skill Levels and a perfect Complement to Your Live Fire Training.

Course Brief: Every day civilians obtain firearms for personal protection inside the home, yet rarely do they have the opportunity to train in such an environment. In this course, you will receive professional training in the art of room clearing / tactical movement in and around a building. Students will learn how to best negotiate hallways, doorways, large rooms, small rooms, dark rooms,and familiar and unfamiliar rooms / buildings. We will teach you to fight in a confined space, with an elevated heart rate and in high-stress situations under the guidance of professional instructors.

The class will be taught in a purpose-built shoot house and participants will use airsoft weapons in force-on-force scenarios against live adversaries.

This course is structured to be intense and dynamic, to take you out of your comfort zone. Students will be required to make ongoing decisions while under stress.

Course Brief: Picking up where we left off in our Room Clearing Level One, this more advanced course will focus on additional skills and techniques for successfully negotiating buildings / rooms in both daytime, low light and no light environments. This course is designed, intended and focused on teach single man techniques, and not “Team Tactics,” working in residential and commercial structures such as malls, offices, homes and apartments etc. Perfect for the professional or civilian gun carrier that may need to move through a building without team mate or back up. We will be using both force on targets and force on force elements in this class, allowing for maximum learning and repetition of skills.

Course Brief: How much time do you spend travelling in your car? Statistically most gun fights occur moving from or to a vehicle. So, we thought it made sense to create a Two Day Course that really teaches the REALITY of fighting with a pistol IN, FROM, and THROUGH vehicles. 

Join us for one of the only LIVE FIRE Vehicle Courses publicly available in the country. Yes, you really will get to shoot cars!

This class is specifically created for Concealed Carry Permit Holders, Law Enforcement and

Security Personnel who carry firearms in and around their vehicle. Students will have the opportunity to Shoot From Inside a Vehicle, Through Windshield Glass, and Through Body Panels. They will also be taught How Best to Use a Vehicle in a tactical environment,Working With and Around It and also for Defensive Cover. Several Hollywood myths will be dispelled as we examine the Ballistic Effects of Various Rounds on Vehicle Glass, Body Panels, and Engine Blocks.

Course Brief: You know how to operate your pistol and have trained to shoot under stress. You associate with like-minded people who are also armed. But do you know how to work together as a team to increase

your odds of surviving a critical incident? If you have trained and practiced your reactions, tactics and

techniques together, you will work as a cohesive team and dramatically increase your chances of

success.

Think of a deadly-force scenario. Now add the variable of Other People that are with you! Now

visualize the same scenario with BOTH of you acting in unison, both knowing exactly what to do, how

to communicate, which direction to move. Better?

This course teaches how to shoot, move and communicate safely as a team in and around buildings,

reacting to and dealing with a deadly-force type scenario such as an active shooter environment. For

those of you without a training partner, we'll team you up with another competent shooter to watch

your back and safely navigate through the many dynamic scenarios. This is a great training

opportunity with unique techniques, scenarios and drills specifically for two-person teams such as

Couples, Colleagues, Friends, Families and the average CWFL holder.
